Application analytics

In the Forge app, a Jira administrator can open General Settings, choose General, and use Application analytics at the bottom of the page. The switch applies to the whole Jira customer, including other users' open app pages. It is not an individual preference.

Existing customers start with this setting off. New native Forge customers start with it on. Saving a choice preserves it through ordinary upgrades and reinstalls; a missing or unreadable setting does not enable recording.

Saving off pauses recording in that page immediately. Other active, visible app pages recheck the setting within 30 seconds. Hidden pages pause recording and check again before resuming. A failed or expired check stops optional capture; necessary error reporting remains separate.

If a save fails, the page shows the error and retains the last confirmed saved choice. See Privacy details beside the switch for the privacy policy.
